What are Board Bucks?

Board Bucks are cash values included in all on campus meal plans and select off campus meal plans. They work like a pre-paid debit card with funds kept on your student ID card. Board Bucks may be used at any on-campus dining location.

Do Board Bucks carry over from year to year?

Board Bucks for on campus meal plans must be utilized by the end of the Spring semester and cannot be requested in a refund.

Commuter meal plans and their associated Board bucks will be carried over to the next semester and/or next academic year until the balances are depleted.

Do Meals carry over from semester to semester?

Meals included in your on campus meal plan do not carry over from fall to spring.

Meals included in your off campus meal plan will expire on the last day of the academic year.

Can I change my meal plan if it does not fit my needs?

Students may change their meal plan once per semester. For the fall of 2017 changes can be initiated online via eCommon during the period starting August 26, 2017 and ending September 22, 2017. Changes made will be effective no later than the Monday following the submission of the student’s change request form.

Additional changes will be granted under extreme circumstances by appealing to the Food and Housing Petition Board. Please contact the Office of Housing and Residence Life for information regarding the petition process.

I am living off campus, when can I purchase my meal plan?

Off-campus meal plans will be available for purchase beginning August 1, 2017

Selecting a Meal Plan
On Campus: All students are defaulted to the Semel Plan. We recommend that all students wait until they have determined where their classes are, where they are living and where they will be eating before making a change to the meal plan. Meal plans can be changed ONCE per semester via eCommon.
Off-Campus: Off-campus students can follow this link to Purchase a Commuter Meal Plan
